In august 2022 Sapotech announced the Reveal CAST – Deep Learning module for surface defect detection. Today, in 2023, the module has now become our de facto module for all future Reveal CAST deliveries and can be easily retrofitted to all our existing installations as well!
We first introduced the details of our Reveal CAST Deep Learning achievements in the IWSQ2 workshop for “Surface quality of continuously cast products” in December 2022.
Since then, we have been continuously improving our Deep Learning defect detection technology further. In addition to stainless and carbon steel making, we now have Deep Learning implemented also for the non-ferrous metallurgy, especially for aluminum production.
