Our customer was facing some difficulties in its steel production. During the continuous casting process, one of the caster rolls was causing defects on some of the slabs surfaces.
Our solution
After the root cause of the defect was found, our customer, with the help of Reveal CAST, could pinpoint and select only the defected slabs so they could be sent to the grinding machine.
Benefits for the customer
Our customer saved resources, energy and time during the production process. This is because only the defected slabs were sent to the grinding process, instead of sending all of them. Typically, the grinding process can be a potential production bottleneck.
